Governing Council
New London College is managed by its Principal and a team of senior managers, who report to a Governing Council. The Governing Council is made up of Eight Members, including people who hold key roles in business, the professions and the local community, all of whom give their time voluntarily.
The Council usually meets eight times a year. Its responsibilities range from formulating the college's academic direction to strategic planning. It also ensures that the college has a sustainable financial health and growth prospects.
Members help change lives with their contribution to the work of the college. They normally serve on at least one other group such as Quality Assurance, Safeguarding, etc. The role is voluntary, but has professional benefits for individuals. Members gain board room experience at the highest level – a useful addition to their CVs and career development.
